Universiti Sains Malaysia’s Contribution

USM authorities have been very supportive of this Community Project and have been giving their support, blessings and encouragement since 1975.

 

  1. The past Vice-Chancellors have been continuously giving their approval and support for collection of donations from the staff members.
  2. USM has provided tables, chairs, flower pots and lorry transport.
  3. During the tenure of Vice-Chancellor, Tan Sri Dzulkifli Abdul Razak , the University donated RM5,000.00 for the purchase of stainless steel plates and cups for serving food and drinks to the public in tandem with the USM’s sustainability program in 2005. In the subsequent following years, on an annual basis, the USM Management have been contributing RM3,000.00 from 2006 – 2015 to this noble project.

 

 Funding

The yearly required funding to run this volunteer service for the public is roughly about RM20,000.00. The funds/collections/donations are obtained from current and ex USM Staff and Students, as well as from general well-wishers.
