Support from USM Authorities
USM authorities have been consistently supportive of the Thanneerpanthal since 1975, providing blessings, encouragement, and material support. Past Vice-Chancellors approved donations collection from staff and the campus community. Over the years, USM has provided tables, chairs, flower pots, and lorry transport.
During the tenure of Vice-Chancellor Tan Sri Dzulkifli Abdul Razak, the University donated RM5,000 in 2005 for the purchase of stainless steel plates and cups, in line with USM’s sustainability program. From 2006 to 2015, the University contributed RM3,000 annually to support this noble initiative.
USM authorities have been very supportive of this Community Project and have been giving their support, blessings and encouragement since 1975.
Funding
The Thanneerpanthal requires roughly RM30,000 annually to operate. These funds are collected from current and former USM staff, students and alumni, as well as from generous well-wishers.
